It Started With My Own Daughter
ACE Hoops began for the most personal reason there is — Coach On needed a club team for his own daughter, right here in Vernon. When the local opportunity he was looking for didn’t exist, he decided to build it himself rather than send his family out of town for it.
What started as one team for one family quickly grew. Other Vernon parents wanted the same thing — real, competitive basketball for their kids, close to home. ACE Hoops became the place where that could happen, and it has been growing alongside the community ever since.
Filling the Gaps, Locally
Rather than compete with what already exists in Vernon, ACE Hoops looks for what’s missing — and works to provide it. Where a division, a league, or a development opportunity isn’t there, we try to create it, so local families don’t have to travel out of town to find quality basketball.
Today that means community leagues, Spring Club Teams across six divisions, academy training, and skills development. And we’re always looking for passionate basketball people — coaches, mentors, and volunteers — to step up and help provide for our community.
It’s a community effort, and it grows as far as our facilities, volunteers, and resources allow. We can’t do everything — but with the right people behind it, we’re committed to doing what we can, where it’s needed most.
