Now in its 41st summer, Hoops & Hustle is one of BC’s best fundamentals camps — four action-packed days at Clarence Fulton Secondary right here in Vernon. If your athlete loves the game, this is where they get better.
At ACE Hoops we love seeing our community grow the game — and few camps have done that better, or longer, than Hoops & Hustle. For more than four decades, Clarence Fulton’s summer camp has turned local kids into confident, skilled players, and 2026 is shaping up to be the best one yet.
Run June 29 to July 2, it’s fundamentals first — so much so the organizers call it “Basketball School.” Every camper gets four clinics and a game each day, taught by an outstanding staff of local high-school coaches alongside a very special guest.
This Summer’s Headliner: Coach Spencer McKay
Campers will learn from one of the most accomplished basketball minds in the country.
- Basketball BC & UVic Sports Hall of Famer
- UVic’s all-time leading scorer (2,976 career points)
- Former lead assistant coach of the UBC Thunderbirds — nine of his players went on to play pro
- Today: Youth Development Coordinator with Lake City Basketball
Over the years Hoops & Hustle has brought in master teachers from Gonzaga, UBC, SFU, UVic and more — and many provincial-level players have come through its doors. World-class coaching, right in our backyard.
How the Camp Works
Hoops & Hustle welcomes boys and girls in Grades 3–11, split into two camps so every player is challenged at the right level:
It all takes place at Clarence Fulton Secondary — two air-conditioned gyms with three full courts, plus five outdoor courts.
