Parent Commitment & Conduct Agreement

2026 Club Season — Please read and sign below

At ACE Hoops, our mission is bigger than basketball. We are here to help build confident young athletes, strong teammates, and good people while creating a positive, competitive, and healthy environment for every player.

In order for this team to succeed, we need players, coaches, and parents all on the same page.
As a parent/guardian, I agree to the following:
1
No Sideline Coaching Non-Negotiable

This is our #1 rule. I understand that coaches coach, players play, and parents cheer.

I will not coach from the sidelines by yelling things such as:

  • Shoot!
  • Dribble!
  • Pass!
  • Cut!
  • Defense!
  • Or any other game instructions

I understand sideline coaching creates confusion, takes players out of team concepts, and can hurt player confidence.

My role is simple: Cheer positive. Support positive. Encourage positive.
2
Respect Coaches, Players, Officials & Other Parents

I will show respect toward:

  • Coaches
  • Players
  • Referees
  • Volunteers
  • Other parents
  • Tournament staff

I will not:

  • Yell at referees
  • Yell at players
  • Criticize coaches during games
  • Create negative scenes in front of athletes
I understand our kids are always watching.
3
No Negative Sideline Energy

I understand negative conversations on the sidelines, behind benches, in parking lots, group chats, or with other parents can destroy team chemistry and atmosphere.

I will not:

  • Gossip
  • Complain constantly
  • Spread negativity
  • Create division
  • Undermine coaches or players
I understand one negative voice can affect an entire team. Our goal is to create a positive environment where kids can grow, compete, and love the game.
4
Communication & Conflict Resolution

If I have concerns involving coaches, playing time, team decisions, other players, other parents, or any incidents — I agree to follow this process:

Step 1
Contact the Team Manager first. The Team Manager acts as a mediator and communication bridge between parents and coaches.
Step 2
If further discussion is needed, the Team Manager will help bring it to the coaching staff.

I agree not to approach coaches emotionally during or immediately after games.

5
48-Hour Rule

After any significant incident, concern, or emotional situation:

I agree to wait, process, and communicate professionally. I will bring concerns forward within 48 hours — not in the heat of the moment.

I understand emotions should never be the deciding factor. Our goal is to solve problems, not create bigger ones.

6
Support Team Culture

I understand ACE Hoops is building something bigger than wins and losses. We are teaching:

  • Accountability
  • Leadership
  • Toughness
  • Teamwork
  • Confidence
  • Playing the game the right way

I agree to support this culture.

7
Volunteer Commitment

Running a successful team takes a village. Parents may be asked to help with:

  • Scorekeeping
  • Shot clock
  • Livestream / stat tracking
  • Fundraising
  • Team events
  • Travel organization
  • Other game day duties
If I volunteer, I will follow through. I understand offering help and disappearing puts pressure on everyone else. Please do not volunteer unless you are truly willing to help.
8
Trust the Process

I understand:

  • Coaches make decisions based on what is best for the team.
  • Playing time is earned, not guaranteed.
  • Development is a process.

I agree to trust the coaching staff.

9
Violation of Parent Conduct

I understand repeated violations such as sideline coaching, negative behavior, public criticism, disrespect toward officials, players, coaches, or parents, or creating division within the team may result in:

  • Verbal warning
  • Parent meeting
  • Removal from team activities
  • Player being removed from the ACE Hoops program
We will protect the culture at all costs.
I have read and fully understand the ACE Hoops Parent Commitment & Conduct Agreement. I agree to uphold these standards for the benefit of the team, the players, and the program.
