High-Level Training
for Serious Athletes

The ACE Hoops U18 Girls program is built around one identity: defense first. Before we score, we stop — and we do it with purpose, together, every possession.

The training method ensures our athletes can read and adjust to any defensive scheme they face — 2-3, 3-2, 1-3-1, packline, it doesn't matter. Whatever a team throws at us, our girls will recognize it quickly and adjust without hesitation. That adaptability is built through repetition, film, and game-like training environments.

The expectation is clear: bring effort, be coachable, and compete every time you step on the court. This program raises the bar — for every player in it, and for the entire ACE Hoops club.

Built on Basketball IQ,
Not Memorized Plays

We don't hand players a playbook and tell them where to stand. We teach them how to read the game, create advantages, and make decisions that hold up under real pressure.

Our coaching philosophy is centered on long-term athlete development through decision-making, movement, and understanding the game. Basketball is taught in realistic, game-like environments where athletes learn how to read, react, and solve problems — not rely on memorized plays. When players understand why actions work, they build genuine basketball IQ and carry that confidence to higher levels of the game.

We use a Constraints-Led Approach (CLA) — manipulating space, numbers, and time to place athletes in situations that require them to adapt and find real solutions. By adjusting time constraints, players learn when to play fast, when to slow the game down, and how to recognize that advantages are temporary and must be acted on with purpose.

Strong emphasis is placed on developing reflexes, reactions, and cognitive processing. Through repetition and exposure to realistic game situations, athletes learn to recognize defensive cues and respond instinctively at game speed — not by removing thinking, but by training effective decision-making until it becomes automatic.

Offensive Focus Areas

  • Cutting
  • Screening
  • Dribble Hand Offs (DHO)
  • Get Actions
  • Advantage Creation & Spacing

"If I ask athletes to improve every day, I hold myself to the same standard. That commitment led me to train alongside professional skill development coaches in California — reinforcing everything we do here."
